It is always important to have variety in the bowling attack. Especially with the pacers, if you make it too predictable, the job becomes easier for the batters. Yet, some teams have not done well in setting up their pace attacks. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams with one-dimensional pace attacks for IPL 2024.

1) Royal Challengers Bangalore

In the past, the English think-tank went in with the philosophy of improving their strength and not focussing much on their weakness. It worked for them. It appears that the likes of Andy Flower and Mo Bobat have brought in the same tactics to RCB for IPL 2024.

RCB has got the likes of Alzarri Joseph and Lockie Ferguson, who are mostly similar bowlers while the likes of Mohammed Siraj rank better when it comes to variety. Reece Topley and Yash Dayal work well at the start while the likes of Akash Deep and Vyshak V could be predictable with their bowling.

2) Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR has Mitchell Starc as the leader of the pace attack. The management might struggle to set up the rest of the pace attack.

Andre Russell is the next best option while Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora are the Indian names available along with Chetan Sakariya. Harshit and Vaibhav could be similar and this could be a problem for KKR.

3) Rajasthan Royals

RR is one of the teams with one-dimensional pace attacks for IPL 2024. On paper, it looks like RR has got a good pace attack. However, the team seems to have only a digital option in this regard.

The team will have to make a choice between Trent Boult and any of the Indian pacer at any point in the game. Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Kuldeep Sen and Navdeep Saini all are similar with their strengths. They also do not have a lot of variations. Sandeep Sharma is a bit different but he may not get a chance in the playing XI.
