Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has lost the most number of games in IPL 2023 so far and they are in real danger of finishing last in the points table. SRH and Delhi Capitals are the only two teams which have already been eliminated from the playoffs qualification race.

While Delhi Capitals have lost 8 out of their 13 games so far, SRH has lost 9 out of 13. If Delhi Capitals don’t lose their last game against CSK and SRH doesn’t win their last game against Mumbai Indians by a decent margin, SRH might end up at the 10th place in the points table.

Here are the 3 players whom Sunrisers Hyderabad might release ahead of the next IPL season –

Harry Brook

Harry Brook was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad at a heavy price because of the reputation that he had earned for himself in all formats of international cricket in the last one year or so.

But, Brook didn’t live up to the expectations in his first IPL at all and barring a hundred that he scored against KKR early on in the tournament, the dashing right-hander couldn’t do much thereafter. Brook’s average and strike rate in IPL 2023 so far are 23 and 124. SRH might not retain his services next season.

Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal also failed to make his experience count, as he has scored only 187 runs in the season so far at an average of 20 and at a very, very modest strike rate of 114.

Agarwal has already been dropped midway through the season, with SRH opening with the young left hander Abhishek Sharma now and it doesn’t seem at the moment that Agarwal will be a part of the SRH squad in the next IPL.

T Natarajan

T Natarajan was indispensable for SRH about a couple of years back. His stocks as a left arm fast bowler had risen so fast that he had made his way to the Indian national cricket team as well, but Natarajan’s form has gone down equally quickly.

This IPL season, in particular, Natarajan has struggled a lot in all phases of the innings. Although he has got 12 wickets in 12 games, he has got those wickets at a high economy rate of 9.11 and at a high average of 41. Natarajan might also be released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the next season’s IPL.
