Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Lucknow Super Giants’ skipper, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl first. Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to an incredible start in the form of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. The duo took the bowling attack to the cleaners.

LSG bowlers found it literally tough to bowl to the batters as they were immensely belted for sixes and fours. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis added a 96-run opening partnership before Amit Mishra provided a much-needed breakthrough.

The experienced campaigner got rid of Virat Kohli. The former RCB captain chipped in with 61 off 44 balls where he struck 4 boundaries and 4 hits over the fence at a strike rate of 138.64.

Glenn Maxwell gives an epic reaction to Faf du Plessis’ 115M six

After Virat Kohli’s departure, skipper Faf du Plessis let his bat do the talking as he produced a much-needed spark with his explosive batting masterclass. He brought up his half-century off 35 balls.

He continued to wreak havoc on Lucknow Super Giants by scoring sixes and fours. In the process, he belted a humongous 115m six which took the cricket fraternity by surprise.

Glenn Maxwell, who watched it at the non-striker’s end was taken aback by Faf du Plessis’ surreal shot. Maxwell scored 59 off 29 balls including 3 four and 6 sixes whereas Faf du Plessis remained unbeaten on 79 off 46 including 5 fours and 5 sixes. RCB ended up at 211/2 in their quota of 20 overs.
