Despite being away from the field for almost six months now, Ravindra Jadeja has been at the center of a lot of controversy lately. To understand its whereabouts, it is important that we learn the chronology. So in this article, we do exactly that.

Ravindra Jadeja has been one of the most important players in the Indian squad across all formats for quite some time now. He is an extraordinary fielder, a great finisher, and a good spinner as well. As a result, he was an unavoidable player in all formats. However, things changed a lot after his injury during the 2022 Asia Cup.

The all-rounder injured himself while attempting to balance himself on a ski-board during one of the team’s adventure activities at their Dubai hotel and was injured for an extended period of time, missing the rest of the tournament and the crucial 2022 T20 World Cup. Since then, Axar Patel has replaced Jadeja in the team, and he is doing pretty well.

On the other hand, Jadeja has involved himself in a lot of politics. Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba Jadeja, recently won in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections, where she ran on the BJP’s ticket, and Jadeja very actively campaigned for the BJP and particularly his wife during the elections. It is being suggested that Jadeja has joined the party and might even contest the Lok Sabha election for them in the future. Many fans are thus criticizing him, as they think that he is not even trying to work on his fitness and is busy with politics instead.

Well, now that six months have passed, Jadeja has been added to India’s squad for the upcoming test series against Australia. However, it is conditional to his fitness. In fact, the BCCI has requested that Jadeja play at least one domestic match before the Australia series to assess his fitness.
