Ravi Shastri, a former head coach for the Indian national team, believes that Rahul Tripathi will make his international debut in the forthcoming two-match Twenty20 International series against Ireland. According to the former Indian all-rounder, while Tripathi is at the crease, the game continues to go forward on the scoreboard.
During the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League, Tripathi played for the SunRisers Hyderabad and was quite impressive. The right-handed batsman, who represents Maharashtra in the Indian domestic circuit, finished the competition with 413 runs, an amazing average of 37.50 runs per game, and a strike rate of 158.23.
Tripathi was not selected for the five-match Twenty20 International series that was being played at home, even though he had a strong performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Nevertheless, the Ranchi native, who is 31 years old and deserving of his first national team call-up, was allowed to play in the two-game series against the Irish squad.
It is well knowledge that Rahul Tripathi can get off to a fast start and that he performed admirably for the Orange Army when batting at number three in the order.
Ravi Shastri talks about Rahul Tripathi

“When he is batting, the scoreboard never stops moving. He does not get behind the ball with the edge on it. Shot-making skills, the all-around game that he has, and he is not intimidated by any bowler or competition he faces because he has such a complete game. You should know that he is scoring at a very high rate, which is fantastic in the No. 3 position because he sets it up so wonderfully.”
In the meantime, Tripathi performed admirably well against both fast bowlers and spinners in IPL 2022. Against fast bowlers, he had a strike rate of 165, while against spinners, he had a strike rate of 145. In addition, Tripathi’s strike rate for the first 10 balls of the Indian Premier League 2022 was 146.15, which was the fifth-highest in the competition.
