South Africa scored 205 runs in 20 overs against Bangladesh, thanks to Rilee Rossouw’s 109-run innings. Earlier, he and Quinton de Kock (63), put together 168 runs for the second wicket partnership. This is the most runs ever put together for any wicket in the history of the T20 World Cup. South Africa was on course to reach a score of 230 runs easily at one point in time. However, they feel short of 20-25 runs at the end of their innings.
South Africa is facing Bangladesh in a Super 12 Group 2 match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. They won the toss and chose to bat first. South Africa has been called a long shot to win the tournament, but their first game against Zimbabwe was rained out on Monday in Hobart.
The Proteas were on track to win, but they had to settle for one point instead. They are excited to start their tournament against Bangladesh, but Sydney is expected to have bad weather throughout the game. The rain did interrupt the match in between, but fortunately, we did not lose any overs.
Group 2 is made up of South Africa, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe, as well as the Netherlands, India, and Pakistan. The top two teams will move on to the next round.

What just happened to the South African batters in the last 5 overs? 205 should be more than enough to defend against Bangladesh but I think they are 30-35 runs short!

SA should have got atleast 20 runs more. Disappointing last 5 overs, only 29 runs scored.
