Royal Challengers Bangalore are the only franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League who haven’t won a title despite making it to the finals on three occasions.
They had three chances to crack the code at least once but they surrendered at the hands of the opponents in all three finals. The first time when they made it to the finals was in the IPL 2009 edition when they lost to Deccan Chargers (now-defunct franchise).
In the IPL 2011 season, RCB locked horns with Chennai Super Kings in the finals. MS Dhoni and Co defeated RCB in the final showdown and it was yet another heartbreak for the RCB team and the fans.
RCB made their third attempt to make it to the finals in the IPL 2016 season. Needless to say, they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.

Despite the fact that RCB failed to win the IPL title, they have a loyal fanbase as the fans kept rooting for them through thick and thin in fifteen seasons of the Indian Premier League.
Meanwhile, RCB was the most popular cricket team on the Instagram platform in the previous calendar year. It is also worth mentioning that RCB was also the fifth most popular sports team in 2022.
Royal Challengers Bangalore approached the last season with a fresh perspective and strategy under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis. Under his tutelage, RCB cracked the code and qualified for the playoffs by finishing fourth on the points table.
Notably, they also went on to get the better of the third-placed Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator. RCB had a great opportunity to target the first title. As it turned out, they were eliminated by Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier. They will be looking forward to doing well in the upcoming season of the IPL.
