Fans on Twitter gave hilarious reactions after Punjab Kings appointed Trevor Bayliss as their head coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. They took a jibe at the franchise saying that changing coaches won’t do anything as they will still finish 6th on the points table.

In what was the latest development, IPL franchise Punjab Kings appointed Trevor Bayliss as their head coach for the upcoming IPL seasons. The 2019 Cricket World Cup winning coach will replace Anil Kumble, whose contract was not renewed by the franchise.
Punjab Kings after 2014 have failed to qualify for the playoffs and under Kumble, they finished 6th on the table in their last four years. With the appointment of the new coach, the franchise would be hoping to aim for their first title win.
Bayliss has a fair amount of coaching experience in IPL. He coached Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2012 and 2014 and won trophies with them. The former English coach was also with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during 2020 and 2021.
With him winning the 2019 World Cup as a coach with England, it’ll be a massive boost for Punjab Kings and with the kind of firepower they have in their side, it is expected that they can set the stage on fire in the upcoming IPL.
