The young batter has started his career in a high note and it’s fair to say that future of Indian cricket is in safe hands. In his short career so far, Gill has ODI double hundred, an ODI century, a Test century and a T20I century.
It’s fair to say that at such a young age, Gill has locked his place in the Indian side in all three formats and is the right person to carry the legacy of greats like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
The recently concluded white-ball series against New Zealand was all about Shubman Gill. The young batter was awarded Player of the Series in ODIs for scoring 360 runs in the series that included a double century and a century.
In the T20Is, he struggled in the first two games but made a roaring comeback in the third game as he smashed the highest individual score by an Indian in the shortest format of the game. He scored unbeaten 126 runs
