Kieron Pollard is one of the experienced all-rounders in the shortest format of the game. The highly-rated asset actively plied his trade across several T20 leagues across the world. 

However, his most memorable stint as a player was at Mumbai Indians. Ever since he was signed by the MI franchise in 2010, he went on to become one of the quintessential products of Mumbai Indians’ history.

Ever since he joined the franchise, he let his bat do the talking in the death overs. It is also worth mentioning here that Pollard smacked most sixes for the MI franchise ever since he made his debut.

Overall, Pollard has played as many as 189 games in the cash-rich Indian Premier League for more than a decade. He has aggregated 3412 runs at an average of 28.7 and at a staggering strike-rate of 135.1.

The veteran smashed as many as six half-centuries during his stint as a player in the Indian Premier League. He might not have scored many big knocks but made a sensational impact with eye-catching cameos. 

The 35-year-old smashed a flurry of 218 boundaries and 223 sixes to his hitting standards. He registered his best score of an unbeaten 87* and has remained unbeaten on 57 occasions.

Pollard called it quits from IPL as a player and following his retirement, several players took to their Twitter to pay a rich tribute to him. Meanwhile, former Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya who played a lot of cricket alongside Kieron Pollard during his stint at Mumbai Indians also took to Twitter to pay a fitting tribute.

Hardik Pandya echoed that he couldn’t have asked for a better mentor and friend. He further added that playing alongside Pollard on the field was one of the best experiences of his cricketing career. Hardik Pandya also wished best of luck to Pollard for his new role at Mumbai Indians as a batting coach.
