Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell heaped rich praise on Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav for his heroics in the T20I series against New Zealand. He was left amazed with his unbeaten century and revealed that he sent the screenshot of the scorecard to Aaron Finch and said that this ‘bloke’ is batting on a different planet.

Suryakumar Yadav set the stage on fire yet again with his another breathtaking innings against New Zealand in the second T20I at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The right-hander smashed unbeaten 111 runs and helped his side post a total of over 190 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav came to bat when India was tottering at 36/1. After that, he held one end while wickets kept tumbling at the other. He didn’t get the desired support from the others but looked unfazed by it and kept going and scored runs quickly for his side.

He took New Zealand pacers all over the park and smashed them all over the park. He reached his second T20I century in just 49 balls and smashed 11 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. Suryakumar batted with a strike rate of 217.65 and helped India post a total of 191 runs on the board.

Suryakumar Yadav was lauded by many fans and pundits across the world. His innings saw even fellow cricketers heaping rich praise on him. Glenn Maxwell also was left amazed by his knock and while speaking on The Grade Cricketer podcast, he said:

I said, ‘Look at everyone else’s scores and look at this bloke that’s 111 off 50’. So the next day I watched the full replay on Kayo and watched the whole innings.”

Glenn Maxwell further went on to laud Suryakumar Yadav for his shot selection and said that he’s making everyone else look so much worse for not being able to do that.

“He’s playing some of the most ridiculous shots I’ve ever seen. He’s doing it stupidly consistently. It’s just actually a bit hard to watch because it makes everyone else look so much worse for not being able to do that,”
