A poor performance with the bat pushed Pakistan to a total of just 138 runs. But not many expected them to take the game this close. Their bowlers displayed a sensational performance and made life tough for English batters. Shaheen Afridi drew the first blood as he removed Alex Hales for just 1 run before Haris Rauf then stepped in to grab two quick wickets.

The likes of Afridi, Naseem Shah, Rauf and Mohammad Wasim jr put pressure on the English batters and took the game deep. But an injury to Afridi, in the end, cost them the match and the title. In the end, England’s Ben Stokes held his nerves well and sealed the game for his side.
