India has gotten off to an excellent start in the opening Twenty20 international against West Indies by posting a score of 190/6. Rohit Sharma, who was captaining the team, scored 64 runs, laying the groundwork for a respectable total. Dinesh Karthik delivered a spectacular finale by scoring 41 runs undefeated off of 19 balls in the last over of the match. Nevertheless, the most peculiar thing that happened throughout the match was when Obed McCoy blew a simple opportunity to run out R Ashwin.
Obed McCoy had a bizarre moment on the field
It was the 18th over of the team’s innings when McCoy was bowling. Dinesh Karthik, who was now batting, received a fuller-than-usual ball from him on the third delivery of the over. Both of the batters went for two runs when Ashwin was on the strike. Fielder attempted to hit the ball to the end opposite the striker, and McCoy did a good job of catching it. When Ashwin was still a considerable distance from his crease, he held the ball in his hand. However, after that, things continued to develop in the most bizarre of ways.

McCoy didn’t even bother to hit the stumps because he was too busy staring behind him when he had the ball in his hand. Ashwin made a last-ditch effort to get back into the crease, and he succeeded, so he was safe at home.
Later, India defended the total successfully and went on to win the match by 68 runs.
