The game between India and Pakistan at the T20 World Cup 2022 had Virat Kohli written all over it. In a game, where bowlers of both teams dominated, it was a class of Kohli that oozed out and almost single-handedly won the game for his side.

He played staggering innings of unbeaten 82 runs and pulled off another masterful chase on his own. While the number 82 seems impressive on the board, only those who closely followed the match would’ve known the kind of grit and determination, he put in.

Chasing the target of 160 runs, India was left tottering at 31/4 and it’s fair to say that they couldn’t win at that stage. However, with Virat Kohli still at the crease, Indian hopes were still there and he didn’t disappoint.

Kohli held the one end and along with Hardik Pandya, he slowly kept ticking the scorecard. With the pressure of run rate on, he looked unfazed and took calculated risks. But when things got heated up, he took bowlers to the cleaners and put Pakistan under pressure and eventually sealed the game for his side.

With this chase, Virat Kohli achieved an average of 518 in the successful run chases in T20 World Cup. Also, he has a 270.50 average in the chases in the tournament to go with 303 against Pakistan as well.
