Royal Challengers Bangalore’s wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik named the three uncapped Indian fast bowlers who have impressed him the most in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Karthik has been one of the best performers for RCB in the ongoing IPL season. He has won multiple games for the franchise, and it has been tough for the bowlers to keep a check on the run flow when he is batting.
During a recent appearance on the ICC Review show, Karthik picked the three Indian fast bowlers who are yet to play international cricket but have done an excellent job for their teams in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Interestingly, Karthik did not pick SunRisers Hyderabad’s express fast bowler Umran Malik who has wowed the fans with his sensational bowling performances in the Orange Army’s jersey this season. Karthik started off by picking the left-arm fast bowler from Punjab Kings – Arshdeep Singh. Here’s what he had to say about Arshdeep:
“[I have been impressed by] Arshdeep Singh because he has been so good at the death, I think he has bowled some lovely yorkers and has a lot of control. Even though they have a world-class bowler (Kagiso Rabada) in their lineup, at times, he has stood up for them solely with the ball and I enjoy that about him.”
Dinesh Karthik named 1 bowler each from Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants
Karthik then made his picks from the two new franchises. Interestingly, both Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have qualified for the playoffs, and two young fast bowlers have played a vital role in their success.
From the Gujarat Titans squad, Karthik went with Yash Dayal, who has picked up crucial wickets for Gujarat with his left-arm pace. And from Lucknow Super Giants, the RCB star selected Mohsin Khan.
