Danish Kaneria, who played as a leg-spinner for Pakistan in the past, feels that the 2022 Asia Cup would be a watershed event in the career of Virat Kohli, one of the best batters in Indian cricket. The 33-year-old batsman has not scored a century in international competition in over three years, and he had a difficult time getting runs when the team was touring England last month.
The management of the squad decided to give him some time off over the whole of the West Indies trip in the hope that this would allow the former Indian captain to return in top condition. Kaneria is certain that Kohli will rack up some huge runs and perform to the best of his abilities.

The 41-year-old player, who has a YouTube channel of his own, recently posted a video in which he discussed how significant the event is going to be for the remainder of Kohli’s professional career. He said:
“The Asia Cup will turn out to be a turning point in Virat Kohli’s career. He needs to do well in the tournament so that he may continue his career, and I have faith that he will. On the other hand, several former cricketers have expressed the opinion that Kohli is nothing more than a burden on the team if he is unable to score runs. Therefore, he has to give serious consideration to the strategies that he may use to stage a return. This is because more explosive batters like Iyer, Samson, and Gill are waiting in the wings to take their turn.”
