Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is currently nursing a thumb injury that he sustained during the second ODI against the Bangladesh cricket team in Dhaka recently. As a result, he was ruled out of the remainder of the ODI series followed by the Test series.
The Indian stalwart jetted off to Mumbai in a bid to consult with the doctor for further medical assistance. He was expected to be back in action for the second Test in Dhaka starting on December 22 but he failed to recover from the thumb injury.
Earlier, KL Rahul led the team for the first Test against Bangladesh in Rohit Sharma’s absence and since the latter didn’t recover from the injury, KL Rahul is expected to lead the team in the second Test match again.
The second and final Test between Bangladesh and India will take place at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on coming Thursday. The opening Test match went in favour of the visitors as they won the game by 188 runs in Chattogram.

Rohit not playing the 2nd test also ensures that he hasn't played any tests outside this year. He will come back against Aus in home test series and if India gets qualified in WTC finals, it's in Eng.
Should he directly play there ?— Mankading2.0 (@Mankading2_0) December 19, 2022
