After Australia’s strong score in the first inning, it appeared that India would be under pressure. However, a century by Shubman Gill and a brilliant display by Virat Kohli has ensured that India may not see a loss in this encounter. In fact, we might not even get a result in this game. India is not showing much intent and it is about reaching Australia’s score and then taking the lead.
Hence, in all likelihood, the ongoing encounter will result in a draw. It will not be a bad result for the Indians as this could seal a spot in the final of WTC. Of course, there would be dependency on the game between Sri Lanka and New Zealand but it is unlikely to have a major impact if India draws the encounter.
