Miller bagged an unbeaten 94 from just 51 balls while Khan smashed 40 from just 21 balls to tip the scales of the game in Gujarat’s favour as they extended their lead at the top of the points table by a fair mile.

Rashid Khan was absolutely exhilarated to lead the Gujarat Titans in yesterday’s game as his social media handle was brimming with snaps of Gujarat Titans post-match celebrations that centered around Miller and Rashid himself.

He penned, “Was always a dream of mine to captain an IPL team… a dream I managed to fulfill and I will be forever thankful to Allah for. I would like to thank the Gujarat Titans players who have contributed to my first win as captain. Last night was a truly special effort. He further added, “It’s a kind of dream captaining the team, but overall the win made it memorable. I have been working hard on my batting. I consider myself an all-rounder and I want to fulfill that responsibility.”

Former Indian cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and Mohammad Kaif lauded Rashid Khan’s rollicking power-hitting and also congratulated him for his first shot at IPL captaincy.

Ever since his purchase in 2017 by the Sunrisers Hyderabad, he has been an absolute sensation, helping the Orange Army to keep things tight in the middle overs. His haul of 7 for 18 in ODIs helped his country to script a remarkable win over the formidable Caribbean.
