Indian cricket team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made a solid comeback after an injury break and helped the nation take a 1-0 lead in their ICC World Test Championship series against the Sri Lankan cricket team. Jadeja was in excellent touch in both departments during the Test match at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision worked in the Indian team’s favor as most of the batters got off to good starts. However, only Ravindra was able to convert his start into a century. He remained not out on 175 when Team India declared the first innings.

At first, many fans were unhappy when the team management declared the innings with Jadeja only 25 runs short of his double century. However, later on, it was revealed that it was Ravindra Jadeja himself who made the call for the declaration.

After the batting performance, Jadeja scalped a five-wicket haul and a four-wicket haul in the bowling department to stun the Sri Lankan batters. The all-round brilliance from Jadeja helped the Indian cricket team win the match by an innings and 222 runs.
