India’s decision to bowl first at the jam-packed MCG so far has paid off. Pacers Bhuvnehwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh have extracted swing from the surface and have made Pakistan batters look clueless.
After a sensational first over by Bhuvnehwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh drew the first blood for his side as removed Pakistan skipper Babar Azam with a peach of the delivery on the first ball of his spell.
Arshdeep bowled an in-swinging delivery to Babar Azam, who got beaten due to a massive movement in the air. The Pakistan skipper tried to work the ball across the line and in the process got beaten and was rapped on the pads.
Babar Azam bagged a golden duck as Pakistan was left tumbling at 0/1. Arshdeep then troubled the wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and made him look clueless as well in his second over. He bowled a short and quick delivery to him and got hurried due to pace and gave a simple catch to Bhuvneshwar at fine leg.
