Imari Du Plessis thanks Anushka for the saree she wore at the reception of Glenn Maxwell

There was a lot of buzz around RCB All-rounder Glenn Maxwell before the start of the IPL season. The Aussie tied the knot with an Australian citizen of Indian Origin, Vini Raman.

The RCB Camp made some memories they would cherish for the rest of their lives. RCB star Glenn Maxwell tied the knot just recently. To celebrate the occasion, the RCB Management organized a wedding reception. The function was attended by RCB Players and their families, living inside the bubble.

IPL is a festival of cricket, they say. IPL is also a festival that celebrates families and creates unbreakable bonds. Of course, On-the­field sport is something to watch out for. But the off-the-field chemistry between players and families is a thing of beauty in itself.

Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma- wife of Virat Kohli- also attended the reception. The newly-appointed RCB Captain Faf Du Plessis was seen at the function with his wife, Imari.

Imari looked gorgeous in an Indian Traditional outfit. She had worn Green Chanderi Saree. Turns out that Anushka Sharma lent Imari the saree. Anushka wore the same saree when she was felicitated with the Smita Patil Award in Mumbai back in 2018.

Imari took to Instagram and thanked Anushka for lending her the saree. The interesting bit is that both Imari and Anushka share the same birth date. She also wished Anushka through her Instagram Story.

“Thank You for sharing in your birthday and your Saree with me @anushkasharma”, captioned Imari. Imari and Anushka share the same birthday. (1st May).

Virat and Faf don traditional outfits at the reception of Glenn Maxwell

Former Captain Virat Kohli wore a Black Kurta. Meanwhile, Faf Du Plessis carried the Pink Kurta quite elegantly. Videos of Virat Kohli, dancing to the popular song “Pushpa” went viral on the internet. Faf posed for the camera with his wife and kids for a cute family picture as well.
