India vs Australia: The ODI series between India and Australia started on a rollicking note. If it was the Indian Cricket Team that thumped the visitors in Mumbai, the Steve Smith-led side made a staggering comeback and outshined the hosts and crushed them by 10 wickets to level the series 1-1 and pave way for the series decider.

2 changes India might make for the third ODI against Australia

After entertaining two games, the focus now shifts towards the third ODI between India and Australia that will be played on Wednesday (22nd March) in Chennai. The second game was one to forget for India as they batted, bowled and fielded poorly. With series on the line, it is expected that they would rectify their mistakes and come out all guns blazing in the final game. Let’s take a look at 2 changes that India might make for the third ODI against Australia.

1. Ishan Kishan in place of Suryakumar Yadav

Ishan Kishan could be back in the mix for India in the third ODI. The southpaw can replace Suryakumar Yadav in the team as the right-hander has failed to get going and bagged golden ducks in both games. He struggled against the in-swinger of Mitchell Starc and looked clueless. Ishan played the first game in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma and could replace Suryakumar in the middle. The southpaw notably batted in the middle order against New Zealand and recently scored a double ton.

2. Umran Malik in place of Mohammad Shami

The second change that India might look to do in the third game against Australia is that they can bring in Umran Malik in place of Mohammad Shami. The senior pacer bowled some tough overs in the Test series against Australia and played two ODIs as well. It’s fair to say that with World Cup around the corner, the team might look to rest him and manage his workload. On the other hand, the pace of Umran can be handy for India on the slow Chennai pitch. The fast bowler of late has been doing well for India and has picked wickets in the middle as well.
