In what comes as a terrible blow to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023, their marquee paceman Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the remainder of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the tournament with the injury. The Barbados-born paceman has often come under fire for his inability to keep his body fit. He has been dealing with a lot of fitness issues since the last few years.

Jofra Archer has been ruled out of IPL 2023
The right-arm fast bowler made a comeback in the sixteenth edition of the IPL. Needless to say, his comeback wasn’t that pleasing. He has played only five games for Mumbai Indians this season.
Archer has been poor with the ball as he picked up just two wickets at an expensive economy rate of 9.50. He was nowhere close to being his best after recovering from the injury and he couldn’t find the rhythm due to fitness issues.
Meanwhile, Chris Jordan has replaced injured Jofra Archer for the rest of the season. Mumbai Indians took to their official Twitter handle and then confirmed the development.
The statement further added that England Cricket Board will continue to monitor Jofra Archer’s fitness and recovery. The statement also said that Jofra will return home to focus on his rehabilitation.
Overall, Jofra Archer has played 40 games in the IPL wherein he took 48 wickets to his name, registering his personal best bowling figures of 3/15. On the other hand, Chris Jordan will be looking forward to doing well for Mumbai Indians in the rest of the season. The England international has played 28 games in the IPL wherein he took 27 wickets.

Very apt replacement in terms of the amount of runs leaked …but jokes aside Jordan is def a better t20 performer in recent times.
