Delhi Capitals are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 28th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Meanwhile, the game is taking place at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
Kolkata Knight Riders are currently eighth on the IPL 2023 points table. Nitish Rana and Co have played five games so far wherein they won two games and lost the rest of the three games.
On the other side of the coin, Delhi Capitals are going through a miserable journey so far this season. Having played five games this season, they have lost all five games in a disappointing manner. Thus, they became the only team to lose five games on the trot.
KKR goes through a batting collapse against DC
Talking about the game between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals’ captain David Warner won the toss and opted to bowl first. The two-time IPL champions ran through a miserable batting collapse as they lost wickets at regular intervals.
The Knight Riders ran short of tricks and clues while playing against David Warner and Co. Jason Roy was the pick of the batters for the visitors as he scored 43 off 39 balls with the help of five boundaries and a six.
Delhi Capitals’ bowlers chipped in with disciplinary bowling performance at the right time to keep the KKR batters silent. Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets apiece.
On the other hand, Mukesh Kumar took a wicket to his name. In the end, Kolkata Knight Riders were bowled out for 127 in 20 overs. Andre Russell provided some fireworks in the end as he chipped in with 38 off 31 including one four and four sixes.
Delhi Capitals’ playing XI: David Warner (c), Philip Salt (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Aman Hakim Khan, Lalit Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar

DC should borrow bats from KKR batters. Most of them are unused.
