The 24th game of the IPL 2023 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings turned out to be an absolute gem of a contest as the game witnessed a plethora of fireworks from the batters of both teams.

Batting first, Chennai Super Kings posted a formidable total of 226 for the loss of six wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Devon Conway top-scored with 83 off 45 balls including six fours and as many sixes.

Apart from Conway, Shivam Dube played superbly well as he scored a quickfire 52 off 27 balls including 2 fours and five hits over the fence. Ajinkya Rahane played pretty well by scoring 37 off 20 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes.

In response, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a nervy start as they lost Virat Kohli for six runs. However, the likes of Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell went about their business and changed the entire complexion of the game.

The duo took the CSK’s bowling attack to the cleaners by adding a quickfire century-plus partnership. When RCB were stuttering at 15/2, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell provided a great deal of support by constructing runs at a rapid pace.

The duo added 126 runs for the third wicket before Maheesh Theekshana dismissed Glenn Maxwell for 76 off 36 balls. The Australian all-rounder smacked as many as three fours and eight hits over the fence. Faf du Plessis is currently batting on 55*
