MS Dhoni and Co won the game against Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs and opened their account in style. In the next game against Mumbai Indians, they won the match by seven wickets to make it two wins in a row.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are taking on Rajasthan Royals in the 17th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Ajinkya Rahane makes a quick impact for CSK in the last 2 innings in IPL 2023

Ajinkya Rahane sneaked into the playing XI during the game against Mumbai Indians and let his bat do the talking at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The right-handed batter showcased a great deal of experience with the bat.

He scored runs at a rate of knots and chipped in with a marvellous 61 off just 27 balls. CSK largely benefitted from the batsman’s services in the run-chase against Mumbai Indians. CSK went on to win the game by 7 wickets.

Meanwhile, during the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk Stadium, Ajinkya Rahane once again upped his ante. He scored 31 off 19 balls before falling prey to Ravichandran Ashwin’s delivery.

Rahane was earlier criticized for his strike rate in the IPL but he proved the doubters wrong by making statement after statement. He will be looking forward to doing well for CSK in the upcoming games.
