Known as Mr IPL, Suresh Raina is one of the best batters to have played in the league. The southpaw has played some staggering knocks in the tournament and was the mainstay of Chennai Super Kings’ batting lineup till the date he called time on his career.
Raina is currently playing Legends League Cricket for India Maharajas. The left-hander has been in fine form and is playing decent knocks for his team. In the latest encounter against World Giants, he scored a crucial knock for his side.
Raina played a scintillating knock of 49 runs and helped his side post a total of 136 runs on the board. He smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes in his innings and it’s fair to say that he was the lone warrior for his side.
After his knock, Raina was asked that everyone wants him back in the IPL after his performance tonight in Legends League Cricket. Replying to this, the former Indian cricketer was at his hilarious best and said that “I’m Suresh Raina, not Shahid Afridi. I’ve taken retirement.” Notably, after taking retirement, the former Pakistani cricketer has taken back his call many times.
