India hasn’t won a Test series in England in 16 years, making it one of the most difficult venues to travel to. Team India’s 2014 visit to England was similarly forgettable, as the squad went 1-3 in the five-match series. Virat Kohli, India’s best batsman, had a terrible series, scoring just 134 runs in 10 innings.
Fans had called for Kohli’s immediate removal from the squad due to his poor performance. Team India, however, staged a miraculous comeback to win the ODI series against England by a score of 3-1. Fans, however, were dissatisfied with the Test series’ final outcome.
After India’s poor showing in England, captain Virat Kohli revealed an incident on the trip home in which a fan gave the squad a cricketing lesson. According to Kohli, the individual approached MS Dhoni, offered him some advice, and then wanted $100.

Talking on the latest episode of RCB Podcast season 2, Kohli revealed the hilarious interaction with the passenger and said, “The man first headed to Mahi (MS Dhoni) and started talking about how the team composition should be and MS ignored it efficiently. He then shifted his focus to me and asked me what exactly is going on with my bat.”
Kohli further continued, explaining how he faced the passenger’s sudden outburst, “The man said that he wanted a hundred from me in the next game. I was young back then and that kind of flicked the switch and I invited him for a conversation. I asked him where he works and he mentioned some company. Then I asked him about his designation and he mentioned that he was some kind of manager. I then replied saying in the next three years, I want you to be the chairman of the company.”
After hearing that comment from Kohli, the fan got the message loud and clear that competing at the international level in cricket is no easy task. The top India batter went on to say that when the team saw the supporter’s persistence, they all started chanting “Coach-Coach” in unison, embarrassing the fan and prompting him to return to his seat.
