Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was last seen in cricketing action during the T20I World Cup 2022 semi-final against the England cricket team at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.
England cricket team humiliated Rohit Sharma and Co by winning the game by 10 wickets in the crucial encounter. After India’s shocking exit from the tournament, captain Rohit Sharma made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
At first, he didn’t play well throughout the course of the tournament barring the half-century against the Netherlands cricket team in the second game of the Super 12.
Under his captaincy, India did make it to the semis by topping the Group 2 points table, collecting 8 points, more than any other team. However, they failed to execute their plans in the semi-final as the bowlers hardly made an effort to take wickets.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old stalwart has been rested for India’s tour of New Zealand (3 T20Is and 3 ODI). Hardik Pandya led the Indian cricket team for the three-match T20I series.
On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team for the upcoming three-match ODI series. The T20I series recently came to a close with India winning the series by 1-0. The first game was abandoned due to rain whereas the third and final game ended in a tie as rain played spoilsport during India’s chase.
Interestingly, teams’ scores were level according to the DLS. As a result, India won the series by 1-0. Meanwhile, a picture of Rohit Sharma sweating it out at the gym has been doing the rounds on social media.
The 35-year-old stalwart looked a bit jaded and tired during the T20 World Cup as he didn’t show a lot of intent. Now, he has been working really hard on his fitness such that he can get back to good shape and compete well.
