Rajkumar Sharma, who coached Virat Kohli when he was a boy and is now the former captain of India, was not happy with the shot selection that the star batter made against Pakistan on Sunday. This shot decision resulted in Kohli’s dismissal. After taking a break, Kohli came back out to bat, and it seemed to have done him some good, as he posted a score of 35.
On the other hand, he continued further up the track and attempted to smash Mohammad Nawaz inside-out over cover, but instead, he smacked it directly into the palms of the long-off fielder. Given that the Men in Blue had just lost their skipper, Rohit Sharma, and that they counted on Kohli to bat long, this shot came as a complete surprise to everyone.

The following is what Rajkumar had to say when he was asked about the top-order not performing as expected once again:
“The top order batters did not perform properly. The very first ball that Rahul faced resulted in a play-on, and Rohit did not seem to be in particularly good touch. Virat played such a shot even though he seemed to be going well, which is not something one would anticipate from someone of his calibre. Because they have the potential to win games on their own, the top three players need to step up their game.”

Saba Karim, a former wicketkeeper who was also present on the panel, expressed his belief that the Men in Blue were in a difficult position heading into the game on Sunday. The last time these two teams competed against one another, they were soundly defeated, and as a result, a lot was riding on this game.
Karim believes that the bowlers should be commended for their efforts since, as was pointed out, even 10–15 more runs scored by Pakistan may have altered the outcome.
