Harry Brook scored a triple-century against Pakistan recently. With teams focussing on wins in recent years, we hardly saw anyone break this milestone. However, the pitches in Pakistan are such that batting becomes easy and run-scoring can be quick. India is one of the best Test sides at the moment. There are a few batters who can also score a triple-century in the future. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who can score a triple century in Tests in the near future.
1) Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant can score runs quickly and that is his style of batting in Tests. He can definitely improve on his ability to score big hundreds.
Pant is very much capable of doing that. He has all the batting attributes. It is just that he must place a bigger price on his wicket. Of course, he should that when he sees a situation of getting a big century.
2) Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the Indians who can score a triple century in Tests in the near future. Although he is an aggressive batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal places a big price on his wicket. Hence, if he usually finds his groove, it is going to be a big knock.
If there are any flat pitches on offer, Jaiswal can make the bowlers work hard. He scores runs quickly and that will also put him in a good position to get a triple-century without the team compromising on a win.
3) Shubman Gill
Sarfaraz Khan is perfectly capable of a big knock in Tests. However, he may not play higher than No.5 for India in the near future. Since India’s tail is not very strong, it could be hard for him.
On the other hand, with a double century in ODIs already in his bag, Gill has shown his capability for big knocks. He has the skills and temperament to make that happen. His batting position is also perfect for the same.
