RCB will surely release Faf du Plessis before IPL 2025. Age is the biggest concern for RCB to persist with RCB. Now, the franchise could target some of the South African stars to replace Faf du Plessis in the side. Here, we take a look at the list of three South African cricketers RCB can target to replace Faf du Plessis for IPL 2025.

1) Aiden Markram
With the overseas talent at SRH, SRH is unlikely to retain Aiden Markram. A number of teams would target him both as a top-order batter and also as a skipper. RCB could be one of them.
Markram has all the attributes to replace Faf du Plessis at the top of the order. He could bring in decent captaincy skills, as well. At the same time, he offers a bit of right-arm off-spin, something that shall add balance to the side.
2) Quinton de Kock
Quinton de Kock is one of the South African cricketers RCB can target to replace Faf du Plessis for IPL 2025. The veteran cricketer has been inconsistent in IPL but on his day, he can take the game easily away from the opposition. QDK has also been a part of RCB before.
The advantage of QDK is that he is a left-handed partner for Virat Kohli. Also, he is an experienced wicket-keeper. Both these will help Andy Flower tick off a few boxes on the side.
3) Dewald Brevis
One option is to find an experienced partner for Virat just like Faf. On the other hand, the management could also consider a younger choice who can learn from Virat.
RCB fans have always liked Dewald Brevis, mainly because of his similarity to AB de Villiers. Yes, Brevis has not been great for Mumbai Indians but he has the age and potential to be like ABD for RCB.
