Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings’ rivalry reached new heights in IPL 2024. It actually spices up things and makes the league more interesting. Yet, it is not a surprise that some of the players might switch sides ahead of the next season. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three CSK players whom RCB could target for IPL 2025.
1) Mitchell Santner
RCB will need a good spinner from the next season. Preferably, they would need a defensive option because, at Chinnaswamy, it could be hard for spinners to take wickets unless they do something really different.
In this scenario, Santner would be the ideal choice for RCB. He is experienced and can do a great job economy-wise. Importantly, he can also add value with the bat. On his day, he can hold one end by himself. Hence, he would be an intelligent signing for RCB.
2) Sameer Rizvi
Sameer Rizvi is one of the CSK players whom RCB could target for IPL 2025. He showed flashes of his potential but could not fully realize it in IPL 2024. He is young and has a long way to do.
RCB needs a young Indian batter who can be the fulcrum of the squad in the future. Sameer definitely has that potential. Therefore, the franchise can invest in the UP lad.
3) Rachin Ravindra
Barring Cameron Green, RCB does not have a young potential superstar on the squad. Almost all other squads have at least one player in this regard. Hence, RCB could target Rachin Ravindra although he was inconsistent in IPL 2024.
Being a boy from Bengaluru, the homegrown fans would also be pleased with his inclusion. He could easily replace Faf du Plessis at the top. Apart from offering variety with his left-hand batting, Rachin can also offer overs with the ball, which can help the management balance the squad.
