The United States of America cricket team has qualified for the next T20 World Cup. Interestingly, the tournament will happen in India and Sri Lanka. The USA Team has a lot of Indian-origin cricketers and there may be a few more names in the fray before the mega-event in 2026. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who might make their T20 World Cup debut for the USA in the 2026 T20 WC in India.
1) Unmukt Chand
Unmukt Chand is definitely on this list. He may have missed the bus for the 2024 edition. However, he now has time and at least two more seasons of franchise cricket to show his skills.
Also, having spent almost a decade of his peak in India, the USA management will want to use his experience of the Indian conditions. Hence, Unmukt might get an opportunity.
2) Smit Patel
The USA cricket team has a few good wicket-keepers, including the current skipper. Smit Patel is someone who can be groomed to take up the role in the future.
Smit has experience of being a part of the Indian domestic events. He would add a lot of value to the batting attack and his experience of keeping in Indian conditions could also help the team.
3) Shubham Ranjane
Shubham Ranjane is one of the Indians who might make their T20 World Cup debut for the USA in the 2026 T20 WC in India. It is not sure if the former Mumbai all-rounder has qualified for the USA Cricket Team. If not, the management will want that to happen soon.
A quality cricketer, Ranjane was a part of the IPL not long ago. A player like him would be of great use to the team in India and Sri Lanka. Shubham will also want to be a part of this event to prove his skills at the highest level.
