A lot of nations might part ways with their coaches after the 2024 T20 World Cup. A few of these men could find an assignment in the IPL. Even IPL 2025 is set to have a few new Head Coaches because a few franchises might sack their current ones. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Head Coaches in the 2024 T20 World Cup who could become Head Coaches in IPL 2025.
1) Jonathan Trott
Currently the Head Coach of Afghanistan, Trott will have an eye on his future, as well. Coaching a more established team could be the next step in his career.
If an IPL gig comes his way, that is also big. However, that depends on how the Afghans would perform in the T20 World Cup. If they do well, it would not be a surprise if Trott is a Head Coach in IPL 2025.
2) Rahul Dravid
India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has already confirmed that he will not be the coach of the side after the 2024 T20 World Cup. It will be interesting to see what Rahul does after the T20 WC.
An option could be to coach an IPL side. Sides such as Mumbai Indians could target him. Hence, Rahul is on this list, as well.
3) Chris Silverwood
Chris Silverwood is one of the Head Coaches in the 2024 T20 World Cup who could become Head Coach in IPL 2025. Sri Lanka has not done well under him in recent months. They were, especially, poor in the 2023 ODI World Cup and have not started well in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Nevertheless, Silverwood is still a fine coach. He has found a lot of success as a white-ball coach for England. The former English cricketer has a lot of relevant experience, as well. Hence, it would not be a surprise if a few IPL teams contact him.
