Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been in poor form in IPL 2024. Surely, the owners would take some tough decisions after the season ends. That could involve firing a few individuals from the management. On that note, here, we take a look at three individuals from RCB management who could be sacked immediately after IPL 2024.
1) Malolan Rangarajan
Malolan Rangarajan is one of the individuals from RCB management who could be sacked immediately after IPL 2024. Every time any youngster does well in other teams, Malolan draws the ire of RCB fans. Till now, he has not been able to unearth one youngster who can perform consistently.
Also, some of the fans criticise Malolan’s approach of not paying attention to homegrown Karnataka talent. Yes, this is a franchise-based league but when Karnataka provides players like Abhinav Manohar, it is surprising that the local IPL team does not even look at such talents.
2) Adam Griffith
While Adam Griffith has done well as a bowling coach, he has not been extraordinary. Especially when it comes to grooming young Indian talent, he has not done a good job. In IPL 2024, he was not able to extract the best from experienced foreign bowlers such as Reece Topley and Alzarri Joseph.
Going forward, RCB might look at some of the recently retired legends to come to the squad. At least, with their playing experience, they might offer some inputs which have a good context.
3) Freddie Wilde
A few years ago, when Freddie Wilde was brought in as the analyst, many expected RCB to do well with their tactics. However, till now, RCB has not shown any brilliant moves in this area.
May be, hiring a local analyst could be the way forward for RCB. While numbers are important, it may also be necessary to know more about the local talent, which is needed in a tournament like the IPL.
