It is always tough for a side to adjust when a retained player before the Mega Auction gets injured. It has happened this season. Here, we take a look at the list of two retained players before the Mega Auctions who got ruled out of IPL 2025.

1) Sandeep Sharma

Rajasthan had retained him in the uncapped category before the auctions. While he did deliver a few good shows, he was mostly inconsistent in IPL 2025. Nandre Burger has replaced him.

2) Mayank Yadav is ruled out of IPL 2025

Will O’Rourke has come in as the replacement for Mayank, who lasted two games in IPL 2025. It would not be a surprise if he is released by the franchise because of his fitness concerns.

3) Ruturaj Gaikwad is ruled out of IPL 2025

Ruturaj Gaikwad was a major miss for CSK. The franchise did have a chance to make a comeback at that time, and if Rutu had been there, the chances would have been better. Nevertheless, with the likes of Dewald Brevis in the side, the team will do better next year.

4) Mohsin Khan

Even before the start of the season, he was ruled out. Mohsin has always had injury problems. LSG needed a good player with the new ball. The absence of Mohsin has affected them a lot in this campaign.
