It was a big blow for some of the players on Friday. BCCI included some players in the list of suspected bowling action. While these players have not been banned from bowling, BCCI has reportedly informed all the franchises about this development ahead of IPL 2024 Auctions. The bidding event is set to happen on December 19th in Dubai. It will be a highly followed event. Many teams would be looking to plug holes while a few franchises would be planning upgrades. Here, we take a look at two players who could go unsold after BCCI included them in the suspect bowling action list.
1) Chetan Sakariya
Chetan Sakariya has not played cricket for a while. He has been nursing an injury for a few months. That said, there are reports that Chetan could make a comeback with the Ranji Trophy.
He was recently released by Delhi Capitals. Chetan is someone who can bowl at various phases in an inning. Hence, there might have been a few teams that could have been interested in him. Now that he is also coming from an injury, the latest information by BCCI could put off teams. Franchises would rather invest in another pacer who is ready to bowl and does not have any issues.
2) Tanush Kotian
Tanush Kotian is one of the players who could go unsold after BCCI included them in the suspect bowling action list. There were expectations that the Mumbai spinner will get picked in the upcoming auctions. He had done well in the regional leagues and has attributes which are not found in many Indian spinners.
Tanush has good control over his off-spin. Plus, he is also a decent batter in the lower order. Hence, a few teams might have been planning to hire him. With the new development, though, teams might not make the move.
