“We are the Kings of bilaterals”, Twitter reacts as Team India continues to be number 1 in the ICC T20I ranking

Team India performed incredibly well in the shortest format of the game under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. Ever since the 35-year-old stalwart took charge as captain, India performed well in bilateral series.

The Men in Blue has got a terrific winning record in bilateral series as they have won most of the T20Is under the captain. They also performed pretty well in the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Rohit Sharma and Co won four games out of the five games in Super 12 and rightly so, they topped the Group 2 points table. However, they failed to get the better of England cricket team in the second semi-final in Adelaide.

Team India continues to be number 1 in the ICC T20I ranking

Team India were battered and bruised at the hands of Jos Buttler and Co in the crucial fixture. As a result, they were knocked out of the competition. Earlier, when India played the Asia Cup 2022 competition, there were plenty of high hopes from the fans.

However, all those expectations turned into mere disappointment as they were knocked out of the Asia Cup 2022 competition in the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, Team India continues to be number one as far as the ICC T20I ranking is concerned.

Currently, the Men in Blue are in New Zealand prepping for the three-match T20I series. The first T20I is slated to be played on November 18 (Friday) at Sky Stadium, Wellington.

The BCCI appointed Hardik Pandya as the stand-in captain for the T20I series. After a disappointing exit from T20 World Cup, the Indians will be looking forward to starting the upcoming series on a positive note.
