Halfway through the season, RCB management would have worried a lot about their retentions for the next cycle. However, after their stupendous comeback, it now seems that the management has some easy decisions to make. 1) Virat Kohli
Of course, there is no surprise that Virat Kohli will be retained for the next cycle, as well. He will finish off with the Orange Cap this year and for a player whom many wanted to improve, this is an excellent season for him. Virat Kohli could also consider captaincy if RCB cannot get the right option.
2) Mohammed Siraj
Siraj is one of the players RCB must retain before the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The first half was bad but Siraj came back in the second half of the season. He controlled the game in various situations. It is hard to get an Indian bowler like him. Hence, he is likely to be retained.
3) Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar showed everyone the kind of cricketer he is. With his brilliance in the back end of the season, he is likely to be retained. He might slot in at No.4 going forward for the franchise.
4) Cameron Green
Cameron Green was an excellent signing by RCB from Mumbai Indians. Not just with the bat, the Aussie also delivered with the ball. He is a top-tier all-rounder and there are very few in the market. He must be retained by RCB at any cost.
5) Will Jacks
Will Jacks is also one of the players RCB must retain before the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The English cricketer gave a tease of what he is capable of. If he gets to open the innings, he can be further dangerous. Plus, he can also bowl off-spin, which would further help the franchise.
