1) Noor Ahmad
PBKS had Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Brar but were somehow not able to do well in the spin department. They could target Noor, who will add variety and wicket-taking ability to the spin attack.
With 22 wickets at an economy of just above 6, the Afghan finished as the highest wicket-taker in CPL 2024. He is still a teenager and has a long way to go. A number of teams could target him. PBKS needs such impact players to qualify for the playoffs. Hence, they must go hard for Noor.
2) Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis is one of the top St Lucia Kings performers whom Punjab Kings could target for IPL 2025. He may be 40 but Faf is at his peak right now. He captained the side and also batted really well.
With the bat, he has been doing well in various T20 leagues. It could be worth a shot to give him a chance to skipper Punjab Kings. He did a good job at RCB and with Ricky Ponting by his side, Faf can go all the way with the PBKS squad.
3) Alzarri Joseph
Alzarri Joseph might have had a tough IPL 2024 but he is still a good bowler and very effective with his HTD skills. He bowled with a good economy of 8.25 and picked a total of 16 wickets in 12 games.
Especially at the new home venue with long boundaries, a player like him can be effective. Now that he is in form, it could be the best time to sign the West Indian cricketer.
