Washington Sundar‘s stocks have gone up in value in the last few months. Despite his poor run in IPL at SRH, he has retained his spot in the Indian T20 Team and is now a starter in the Indian Test Team, as well. It appears that he has regained his confidence and is ready for the peak of his career. In this regard, there will be a lot of teams that will want to have Washi in the squad. SRH do not have the RTM Card to use it on a capped player. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams which could target Washington Sundar at IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.
1) Chennai Super Kings
As per reports, CSK is interested in signing either R Ashwin or Sundar. The latter makes better sense considering the future of the side.
The local fans will be pleased and anyway, the home track needs a spinner like Sundar in the team. CSK likes versatile cricketers and hence, they could invest in an all-rounder like him.
2) Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians is one of the teams which could target Washington Sundar at IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The spin department did not get much attention at MI in the last three seasons. Mahela Jayawardene will want to correct that for the upcoming cycle.
The priority will be an experienced Indian spinner. Washington Sundar ticks the box perfectly. His height and the bounce he generates will be of great effect at the Wankhede Stadium. Of course, his batting will also help.
3) Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings has the highest purse and hence, they can target any player they want. They will want to improve their spin department and hence, Washi will be one of the targets.
The franchise could use the RTM Card to get back Rahul Chahar. To give a solid partner to him, PBKS could invest in Sundar, who can also provide his services with the willow in hand.
