On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams which could target Finn Allen for IPL 2025.
1) Mumbai Indians
Ishan Kishan’s underwhelming returns in recent years might prompt Mumbai Indians to turn to a new wicket-keeping option. They might also have to work on their overseas combination since some noted Indian players could leave the franchise.
Finn Allen would be a perfect profile for the Wankhede Stadium. He could provide the blistering starts that the team needs in the powerplay. Plus, he would also keep wickets for them.
2) Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals is one of the teams which could target Finn Allen for IPL 2025. Jos Buttler’s absence in the playoffs in IPL 2024 was a big reason behind RR’s exit. They did not have the right backup.
At the same time, RR must plan for the future considering Jos Buttler’s age and diminishing form. Finn Allen might be the right person to groom for this position. His age is also perfect for the franchise to invest. In the coming years, he could form a cracking combination with Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top.
3) Gujarat Titans
GT is sure to release Wriddhiman Saha before IPL 2025. The team needs a young wicket-keeper and Finn Allen is an option they can consider.
Shubman Gill usually takes some time to start off. Finn Allen would be the ideal man to have the other end to make use of the field restrictions. B Sai Sudharsan at No.3 after this duo would form a great top-order for the franchise.
