Although he did not have a great start to the 2023 ODI World Cup, Pat Cummins made amends by winning the World Cup for his side. Now, the player has confirmed that he will be available for IPL 2024. A number of teams would be interested in the experienced cricketer with excellent leadership skills. 1) Delhi Capitals
Barring Anrich Nortje, no other pacer has a confirmed spot in the playing XI for Delhi Capitals. Hence, the franchise has to work on this department before the next season starts.
Also, DC is one franchise that does not have a long batting depth. This has affected them at times. Considering all these factors, they could sign up Cummins. Also, with Ricky Ponting at the helm, the likelihood of this deal is very high.
2) Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals is one of the teams that could target Pat Cummins for IPL 2024. Jason Holder was a disappointing signing for RR last season. They now have plenty of options to replace him.
Actually, Cummins would be an upgrade in this regard. As a batter, the Aussie might be less consistent. However, for a No.8, nothing more is expected. Importantly, RR would get a good middle-over pacer and also someone who can work his way at the death.
3) Chennai Super Kings
