1) Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians are one team that needs to build a strong pace attack. They must identify the domestic pacer who can be a long-term partner for Jasprit Bumrah.
Deepak Chahar would be a decent choice in this regard. He has experience and on his day, he can wreak havoc with the new ball. This way, Bumrah’s bowling at the other end would further add pressure on the opposition batters.
2) Lucknow Super Giants
LSG is one of the teams that could target Deepak Chahar in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The injury to Shivam Mavi had a big role to play in the campaign for LSG. Hence, they did not have a reliable swing bowler for the powerplay.
While they could target Mavi again, Deepak Chahar would also be a good investment. The pitch at Lucknow might not exactly suit him but Chahar’s experience could be utilised. It will also be a good challenge for him.
3) Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR might want to add a new-ball bowler to their pace attack for IPL 2025. While it is preferred that it is a foreign pacer, if a good Indian option comes by, KKR must hire the cricketer.
Deepak Chahar can be a solid option with the new ball. When it comes to experience, he has had a lot of games as the leader of the pace attack in the IPL. With a domestic option, KKR can use the foreign slot at other areas.
