It was a tough loss for India against Australia at the MCG. Here, we take a look at the list of three tactical changes India must make for the Sydney Test against Australia.
1) Nitish Kumar Reddy at No.6
Nitish Kumar Reddy stunned everyone with a classy century at the MCG. This now proves that he is capable of batting higher up the order.
Therefore, India must find a way to have Nitish at No.6. If he bats more, there is a chance that he could score more runs.
2) Bring back KL Rahul to the opening slot
Bringing back KL Rahul to the opening slot is one of the tactical changes India must make for the Sydney Test against Australia. It is a no-brainer that KL Rahul must be back as the opener.
India needs to have KL Rahul at his best confidence. Since Rohit Sharma did not do well, KL Rahul has to go back to the top.
3) India must open the bowling with Akash Deep against Australia in Sydney
It has already happened but now India must think of Akash Deep as the new-ball bowler alongside Jasprit Bumrah.
Yes, he has failed to collect wickets but he has bowled well. He has better variations and is in better form right now and hence, he deserves the opportunity.
