In IPL 2022 Mega Auctions, Rajasthan Royals hired a lot of ex-RCB cricketers. It could happen in the reverse direction in the next Mega Auction. Here, we take a look at the list of three Rajasthan Royals players whom RCB might target in IPL 2025 Auctions.
Note: We have considered players who are likely to be released by Rajasthan Royals.
1) Shimron Hetmyer
The West Indian cricketer played for RCB in the past but he could not do well. Hence, the franchise released him. At RR, he has found a new home and has been doing well. However, retaining him may not be a guarantee ahead of IPL 2025.
RCB will like his improved finishing abilities. They anyway need a left-hander in the middle-order and he can be a decent choice to install at No.5 or No.6. Therefore, he is on this list.
2) Dhruv Jurel
Dhruv Jurel is one of the Rajasthan Royals players whom RCB might target in IPL 2025 Auctions. Due to the other priorities in the squad, Rajasthan Royals may not retain Dhruv Jurel. However, although hard, Rahul Dravid could try to get him back.
For RCB, though, Dhruv will be the ideal replacement for Dinesh Karthik. Especially with his age and his relevance with Team India, RCB cannot get a better wicket-keeping option than Dhruv for the future.
3) Prasidh Krishna
He is a local boy and could be adored by the homegrown fans. Having not played for the franchise in the last two seasons, injury-prone Prasidh is all set to be released by Rajasthan Royals.
For RCB, he can be a hit-the-deck specialist in the middle overs. He also has the attributes to do well in the other phases. At Chinnaswamy, Prasidh could be a risk but if used well and if the pacer can add some variations, he could be a good choice to have.
