Joe Root
Joe Root might not get a chance to play in IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals. The English batter was the last pick for the team in the IPL 2023 auction. But there are high chances that he won’t play considering the kind of T20 players Rajasthan Royals have in their lineup. Also with only four overseas players allowed to play, it’s unlikely that Root might get considered for that as he’s not known much for his T20 heroics.
Adam Zampa
Australian spinner Adam Zampa maybe another player who might not get a chance to play in IPL 2023. The reason for his possible warming of the game might be the the bowling combination of the franchise. Also with the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal in the side, it’s possible that Zampa might not get a chance. With four overseas players only allowed, there might be no space for Zampa in the team as they are likely to opt for Jos Buttler, Jason Holder, Trent Boult and Shimron Hetymer.
Murugan Ashwin
Another RR spinner that might not get a chance to play in IPL 2023 is Murugan Ashwin. The reason behind him possibly warming the bench for the whole season is the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal in the team. RR since the last few seasons have been playing combination of one finger spinner and one wrist spinner. With R Ashwin and Chahal acquiring that spot, Murugan will find difficult to make cut in the playing 11.
