Duleep Trophy 2024 was a key tournament for a few players. They could have alerted the selectors to include them in the upcoming Test series. However, not all have grabbed their chances fully. Here, we take a look at the list of three players whose India careers may be over after a disappointing show in the Duleep Trophy 2024.

1) Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal did score a fifty but overall, he had a poor outing. He can still do well but the confidence in him seems to be missing.

He is unlucky to get dropped from the Indian Team during the transition period. Now, India is likely to prefer youngsters. Hence, Mayank has a very difficult road back to the Indian Test Team.

2) KS Bharat

KS Bharat is one of the players whose India career may be over after a disappointing show in Duleep Trophy 2024. He played the last series for India. Hence, it is too early to say that he might not get a chance in the Indian Team again.

However, it needs to be noted that he was excluded from the second Duleep Trophy game for his side. In the first match, he was not great. At the same time, other keepers such as Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Baba Indrajith, Ishan Kishan and N Jagadeesan have been doing well.

3) Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar is only 24 years old and it could be harsh to rule him out of a Test comeback. However, it appears that it could be better for him to focus on having a long career in the white-ball squads.

While Sundar has not been doing well with the red ball, the likes of Saransh Jain have had a better tournament with the ball. By the time R Ashwin retires, some more youngsters might have come through. Hence, it is looking bleak for Washi to come into the Test arena again.
